Well hello beautiful! I didn’t even see you over here in the far corner of the garden.

I was so busy and distracted adding some extra water to the cucumbers and tomatoes I didn’t even notice your cheerful bright splash of color waiting to surprise me with joy!
You knew I wasn’t paying attention. You saw me all distracted and not even noticing you. And yet here you stood, patiently waiting for me to make my way around to you.
Then … lo and behold! … there you were! Surprising me with your cheerful “Good morning!”

“Good morning!” to you too!
Oh! … well hello beautiful! I didn’t even see you way up there in the air!

There you are blooming your heart out and I didn’t even notice because my head has been down. My gaze has been focused down on my tasks at hand and all the things I have to do.
Yet your beautiful blessing has been right there all the time … if I would only lift my head … if I would only raise my eyes.
“Good morning!” to you!
Oh! … and hello beautiful to you too! I didn’t see you either … way up high in the sky!

You look like you just crawled out of bed, with your messy bed-hair … just like the rest of us with our own messy bed-hair as we rise to face this new day. You’re just starting to stretch out your bloom petals, as if reaching out your arms in a big morning stretch!
So too we each reach out our arms in a big morning stretch … and set about the tasks God has given us to do today.
“Good morning!” to you way up there in the air!
Thank you God, for beautiful cheerful bloom blessings to greet me at the start of this brand-new day!
Thank you God, for giving us cheerful blessings which are already there along our pathway today waiting for us, even though we’re distracted and don’t notice them at first. Thank you that your blessings to us surprise us as we come along our path doing what you’ve tasked us to do today.
Thank you God, for giving us cheerful blessings which are already there, just above our line of sight … requiring that we “lift our heads” in order to see them. God, thank you for reminding us to “lift our eyes” and not be so focused on what is directly down in front of us … but to see your blessings to us up in the air and over us.
Thank you God for your daily blessings to us!
