God’s discipline in my life is a blessing for me.

God’s discipline in my life is a blessing for me.

Blessed is the person you discipline, O LORD, the person you teach from your law.”   – Psalm 94:12

It is not fun to be disciplined. It is not fun to be confronted about what we are doing wrong and told that we need to change.

But discipline is for our good. As parents, we discipline our children because we know what is best for them. The discipline protects our children from dangers which will destroy their life or cause them harm.

It is the same when it comes to our relationship with God. God disciplines us just like a parent disciplining a child, because God knows what is best for us. God disciplines us to protect us from dangers which will destroy our life or cause us harm.

Although it is not fun to be disciplined, it is, in reality, a blessing for us. The discipline blesses us by sparing us harm. The discipline blesses us by protecting us from danger.

God’s discipline in our lives is a blessing to us.

God’s correction to us from his Word is a blessing to us.

Thank you God for your discipline for us, even though, in the moment, it is not fun or pleasant. Thank you God for disciplining us to spare us harm. Thank you God for disciplining us to protect us from danger.

Thank you God for the blessing of your discipline.

Thank you God for the blessing of correction from you Word.
