I am blessed as I praise God. The more I praise God, the more my spirit is blessed.
I am blessed as I obey God. To obey God is to walk in his light. To obey God is to walk in the light of his presence.
How do I obey God? … so that I can walk in the light of his presence??
God tells us exactly what he wants us to do in the letter he wrote for us – the Bible. In the Bible God tells us he wants us to love others, just like he has loved us. In the Bible God tells us he wants us to forgive others, just like he has forgiven us.
In the Bible God tells us he wants us to refrain from sinning so we can be holy, because he is holy.
In the Bible God tells us he wants us to be kind and care for others, just like he is kind and cares for us.
The best way to know what God wants us to do is to read the letter he wrote for us – the Bible.
As we read the Bible, we don’t just absentmindedly skim over information. No. The Bible is meant to be transformation. It’s meant to change us.
We read what God tells us … and we obey! We do what God tells us to do.
And in so doing, we are changed … we are transformed … we are becoming more and more like Jesus Christ. And in this we are blessed! We are greatly blessed!
To be able to become more and more like Jesus Christ is a huge blessing! To be changed and transformed from who we used to be into a person of righteousness and holiness is a huge blessing!
To be able to walk in the light of God’s presence is an incredible gift and a huge blessing!
Thank you God for the blessing of changing us to become more and more like you. This is mind-blowing and such a huge blessing!
