Father’s Day weekend hubby and our son attended a Christian men’s conference in the center of our state, at the Gorge Amphitheater on the Columbia River. It was an incredible weekend of about 5,000 Christian men worshiping God and being strengthened in their faith through solid Bible teaching.
We received an email yesterday from Grace City Church (who sponsored the event) with a link to photos of the event. Here are a few …

This morning I was re-watching the videos hubby took of the event and they put me in tears every single time I watch them … 5,000 men with hands raised in surrender to God, singing their hearts out: “Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free! Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me. You have broken every chain, there’s salvation in your name – Jesus Christ my living hope!”

Yesterday’s blog pondered the question: “Are we in a simulation?”
If we are in a simulation, then obviously a power higher than us and greater than us created the simulation … established the laws ordering the simulation … and placed us in the simulation.
God is the power higher and greater than us. God created this beautiful world that we live in. God established the laws ordering this world that we live in. And God placed us in this beautiful world for a brief span of history.
At the very beginning, when God first created this beautiful world, God established the headship of the man as one of the natural laws ordering this world we live in. God created the man first. (Genesis 2:4-23)
From the man, God created the woman.
The headship of the man is one of the foundational laws God established for this world we live in.
From this foundation comes the husband/wife relationship. The husband/wife relationship is a picture God himself. There is one God in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. God the Father is the headship. God the Son [Jesus Christ] is equally God, yet in submission to the headship of the Father. God the Holy Spirit is equally God, yet in submission to the headship of the Father to bring about the Kingdom of God on the Earth.
The godly headship of the husband (which reflects God himself) … and the godly submission of the wife (which reflects Jesus Christ and the helper-role of the Holy Spirit) are both foundational laws which God established for this world we live in.
The godly headship of the husband, and the godly submission of the wife form the foundational basis for the family.
And the family, in turn, becomes the foundational basis for civilization.
These are the foundational laws which God established at the beginning for the world he created for us to live in.
If we wonder: “How can I be blessed?”
* God blesses godly headship of men in marriage. God blesses godly headship of men in leading their families.
* God blesses godly submission of wives in marriage.
If we would like to receive the blessing of God, this is how we can be blessed by God … by following the foundational laws he established for this world he created.
