We all need a little support!

We all need a little support!

Mid-July is usually when the very first green beans are ready to be picked  …  and eaten!  Yay!   So I went out to the garden to see how the beans were doing.   Lo and behold  …  the poor tomato plant was toppled over onto the ground.   My life has been so insanely crazy recently I completely forgot that the tomatoes needed support cages.

Tomato plants cannot support their own weight.  They need support cages or posts to help hold them upright.

As I looked at the tomato plant lying on the ground I could very much relate.   Life is really hard sometimes.   Sometimes this is exactly how we feel  …  fallen over by the weight of it all and just lying on the ground.

TaDa!   A support cage is now in place  …  helping steady the tomato plant so that it can grow upright and produce lots of tomatoes.

This is what we each need in life.   We all need a little support!

We can’t do life all by ourselves.   It’s too much.   The weight of it all pulls us down and leaves us lying on the ground.   Tomato plants cannot produce tomatoes if they are lying on the ground.   They will most likely go rotten if they lie on the ground for too long.

The same thing is true for each of us.   We cannot produce “fruit” in our life if we have been toppled to the ground by the heaviness & weight of life.

We need some support to steady us.
We need some support to help us stay upright.

Without support helping us grow upwards, we will most likely go “rotten” if we are left to lie on the ground.

Without support helping us grow upwards we will be vulnerable to slugs eating away at us.

How are you doing??   Are you feeling weighed down by the weight and burdens of life right now?

Do you feel toppled to the ground by the weight of it all?   If so, you need some support.

Ask someone for some support.   Reach out to those who love and care about you.   Share your burden with them and let them “help carry the weight” along with you.

We all need a little support!
