Tyranny has been occurring at the hummingbird feeder! Those who are bigger and more powerful than the little hummingbirds are taking dominion of what belongs to the hummingbirds.
It began with the bear raiding the hummingbird feeders back in the winter. The bear brought tyranny by depriving the little hummingbirds of a food source in the middle of winter when there were no flowers with nectar.

Now a woodpecker is bringing tyranny!

The little hummingbirds are being oppressed because their property is being overrun by a bird much bigger than they who is stealing what belongs to them.
The tyranny of the woodpecker is robbing the little hummingbirds of their freedom to freely exist and eat peacefully.

Something must be done!
Obviously, the thing which must be done is to go onto Facebook and air my grievances about the tyranny which is occurring! People need to know about the oppression which is occurring! People need to know about how the little hummingbirds are being robbed and how their freedoms are being taken away!
Airing these grievances to the world of course will generate a lot of “Likes” and “Affirmations” from all my friends and my Facebook community. I probably will even get some “Likes” from the broader Facebook platform from people whom I don’t even know.
Added to the “Likes” and “Affirmations” I will even probably receive some comments affirming why my anger is justified!
In the process, everyone out there across the country who reads my impassioned posts will likewise be stirred up to anger too! How dare that woodpecker cause tyranny! The nerve! Impassioned comments will fill the newsfeeds concerning all the injustice which is happening!
But the tyranny continues to occur!


Something must be done!
So I go to my church and I spread my impassioned grievances with everyone at church. Soon my whole church is up in arms at the tyranny which is occurring! Injustice like this is wrong! Tyranny such as this should not be tolerated. Freedom must be defended! Long debates are held as to why tyranny such as this is wrong.
Meanwhile, at home … the tyranny continues to occur.

I bemoan the good old days when tyranny such as this was not occurring. I think back to how nice it was before the woodpecker began terrorizing the little hummingbirds. I dwell long on the glory days when the little hummingbirds could freely come and go from the feeders without disturbance.
My question to you is this: What will it take for the tyranny at the hummingbird feeders to stop?
Action!
Obviously.
The answer is not hard.
Evil will not stop itself. Good people must get in the way and stop it!
All that is required for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing.
Our Declaration of Independence states:
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. …
