I went out this morning to do my daily first-thing-in-the-morning “slug patrol” and I didn’t find any slugs in the garden … or anywhere around the perimeter! Not one. Hooray! I must be getting them all. This makes me very, very glad!
Meanwhile, the hummingbirds are full of gladness that there is food in the feeders! I can hear them as I’m way over at the garden, as they chirp, and click, and chatter. So much gladness going on this morning!

The foxgloves are full of gladness as they stand taller than me, reaching for the sky … and blooming their hearts out! There is a lot of gladness going on this morning!

The bees are very glad too!

And I too am filled with gladness as I pause in awe and wonder at their beauty!
Lo and behold … it’s a dragonfly “frozen” to a leaf in amongst the patch of daisies (which haven’t quite started blooming yet). It’s slightly chilly this morning … but not too cold for the bees to be buzzing around among the foxgloves. I guess it must still be a little too cold for the dragonfly to be buzzing about.
This dragonfly is very glad that I did not disturb it! And this dragonfly is also very glad that it has not yet been discovered by a hungry bird. A lot of gladness going on this morning!

And I am filled with gladness as I pause in awe and wonder at the dragonfly!
Little baby apples on the apple trees!

The apple trees seems to be very glad to be covered in such a bountiful crop of apples this year!

I am filled with gladness as I stop to gaze at the little baby apples. It’s not every day you get a chance to gaze little baby apples.
So much gladness going on this morning!
My Hoopes rose is blooming! This fills me with gladness as I think of our beautiful friendship with K & P who gave us this rose almost 10 years ago.

K is in heaven with Jesus now. This fills me with gladness as I think of him rejoicing and celebrating with Jesus! And I am filled with gladness as I think how I will get to be there in heaven too with Jesus and with K one day!

Yes, the Lord reigns! And yes, the earth is glad! And yes, I am glad too!
My poppies are blooming! This fills me with so much gladness! Someone very special in Idaho sent me seeds from their very own poppies. I have tried valiantly for two years to have a “sea” of poppies blooming in my back planter box. I haven’t quite mastered the art of growing poppies, and while I may not have a “sea” of poppies, I do have the joy of blooms!

Delicate blooms of purple joy opening up with gladness!

AND … a crimson bloom! So much gladness!

“The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad.” – Psalm 97:1
Yes! Thank you Jesus!

In what ways had God filled your heart with gladness today?
