Hubby took me down to his work to see the treehouses on Sunday afternoon. It was great fun!
Here you can see treehouse #1 … this was the original treehouse. In the back, behind the treehouse you can see a sloping ramp going up to the treehouse. The treehouse is accessible for everyone. But … just because the treehouse is accessible for everyone this does not automatically mean any random person can gain entrance to the treehouse. Only employees have the privilege of gaining entrance to the treehouse.

Here you can see hubby and I are walking up the ramp to the treehouse. There is a lovely outdoor deck area where employees can sit and work.

However, not just anybody can come up and hang out on the outdoor deck here. There is a tall gate blocking entrance to this lovely outdoor deck. Only employees with their employee badge can “badge-in” to open the gate and gain entrance to this deck area.
Hubby scanned his employee badge and voila! – the gate opened.
Here we are standing on the treehouse deck. Isn’t it lovely. What a wonderful place for employees to be able to work outside.

However, being on the deck does not automatically mean we have entrance into the treehouse itself. The actual treehouse itself is locked. Only employees with their employee badge can “badge-in” to enter the actual treehouse. (and yes, the company does know exactly who scanned in and exactly when)
Here you can see the inside of treehouse #1 – there is a small conference table where employee teams can have meetings. The treehouses are a popular place for teams to have their meetings, and if a team would like to do so they must reserve this meeting space well in advance.

A few years ago, hubby thought it would be great fun to book the treehouse for his team’s all-day meeting. It was a rather tight squeeze for everyone, but it made for a really fun memorable meeting!
Here you can see treehouse #2. We didn’t know there was a second treehouse! Hubby hasn’t been back over to that area in a couple of years (not since his team’s meeting in treehouse #1).

Just like treehouse #1, treehouse #2 is also accessible for everyone – there is a glass elevator back behind the stairs. But (also just like treehouse #1) … even though it is accessible for everyone, this does not automatically mean any random person can gain entrance to the treehouse. Only employees have the privilege of gaining entrance to the treehouse.

At the top of the stairs there is a gate blocking entrance to the outer deck area. An employee badge is required for the gate to open and entrance to be granted. This outer deck area is likewise a lovely place for employees to work in an outdoor setting.
Just like treehouse#1, entrance into the actual treehouse is only granted to employees who badge-in with their employee badge. Otherwise, the door is locked. Here you can see the inside of treehouse #2. Isn’t it fabulous! What a great space to have a small team meeting.

The treehouses, perched high up in the trees, brought to mind the verse about being “seated in the heavenly realms.”
“God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” – Ephesians 2:6
Heaven is a wonderful place! Just like the treehouses are wonderful places! But not just anybody is granted entrance into Heaven.
Both treehouse #1 and treehouse #1 are accessible for everyone. You don’t have to have certain physical abilities to be able to climb ladders or stairs to access the treehouses. If you struggle to walk … the treehouses are accessible via a ramp and a glass elevator. If you are in a wheelchair … the treehouses are accessible to you.
But just because the treehouses are accessible for everyone, this does not automatically mean any random person can gain entrance to the outdoor deck and the actual treehouse itself. Only those who are employees with their personal employee badge are given permission to enter.
It is the same when it comes to Heaven. Heaven is accessible for everyone! “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” – Romans 10:13
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son [Jesus Christ], that whoever believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16
Jesus Christ is our “employee badge” … Jesus Christ gives us entrance into Heaven!
Perhaps you might be asking: How do I get this “employee badge” of Jesus Christ so that I can gain entrance into Heaven??
Ephesians 2:1-9 tells us how …
“As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of the world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air [Satan], the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thought. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:1-9
Heaven is accessible for you! All you have to do is repent of your sin and give your life to Jesus Christ. In that instant you become a “Heaven citizen” with a “Jesus-badge” granting you permission to “badge-in” through the gate and enjoy all the wonders of Heaven!
You too can be seated in Heavenly realms!
