I love my country!
I love the red, white, and blue!

But what do we do when we feel like freedom is being taken away from us??
The last blog post considered the “Red” in the Red, White, and Blue.
Here you can see “White.”

This planter box is one which hubby made. It’s a very pretty little planter box and I love having it on my back deck. The puff-ball daisies are flowers which hubby purchased and gave to me a couple of years ago. The little puff-ball daisies have been blooming their hearts out.
But … as you can see, white mushrooms have decided this property belongs to them! The white mushrooms have claimed control and dominion of this planter box. The white mushrooms have claimed control and dominion over this piece of land which belongs to the puff-ball daisies.
The white mushrooms are taking whatever space they want and spreading out.
This very thing is happening in our country. This very thing is happening in my very own state (in regards to legislation being passed concerning property tax, etc. …)
We are told continually and constantly (through social media platforms, news outlets, online influencers, etc. ) that we should hate our country. We are bombarded with all the problems our country has.
We are told, in essence, that we should be so angry about what is going on in my planter box (so to speak) that I should just pick up the whole planter box and throw it off over the edge of the deck, letting it smash into smithereens in the flowerbed below (so to speak). “That’ll fix the problem.” we’re assured by the voices coming at us from all directions.
That’s absurd.
That’s absolutely absurd.
Why on earth would I be so angry about what is going on in the planter box that I pick up the whole planter box and toss it off over the edge of the deck?? That’s utter foolishness.
For starters, the planter box was a very special gift to me from hubby. Hubby built the planter box with his own two hands. The planter box is a blessing. Why would I intentionally destroy my blessing, in a fit of anger?? That makes no sense.
Furthermore, the puff-ball daisies were a gift to me from hubby. They have bloomed for several years now and have brought me great joy. The puff-ball daisies are my blessing. Why would I intentionally destroy my blessing?? That’s absurd.
Yet this right here is what we are being told about our country.
We are being told that we should “toss it over the edge” and let it “smash into smithereens below.”
Our country is our blessing! Why on earth would we intentionally destroy our blessing??
“A fool gives full vent to their anger, but a wise person keeps themself under control.” – Proverbs 29:11
“The mouth of the fool gushes folly.” – Proverbs 15:2
“The mouth of a fool invites ruin.” – Proverbs 10:14
“A fool’s mouth is their undoing.” – Proverbs 18:7
“A person’s own folly ruins their life.” – Proverbs 19:3
“A fool finds no pleasure in understanding but delights in airing their own opinions.” – Proverbs 18:2
Red, White, and Blue … oh what are we to do??
What do we do when we feel like freedom is being taken away from us??
* For starters … do not listen to the opinions or the advice of fools. It’s absurd. Don’t listen to it.
* Secondly … do not follow the advice of fools. It’s absurd. Don’t respond in the way fools counsel us to respond.
Our country is our blessing! We stand up for our country! We love our country! We work hard to make our country great! We don’t destroy our blessing.
