Early morning sunshine blessing – the calm reflection of the forest in the birdbath.

Granted, this birdbath isn’t perfect (like fancy schmancy birdbaths you can buy at fancy schmancy garden nurseries). But regardless of its supposed “imperfection”, this little birdbath brings me so much joy! And I absolutely love it. It’s absolutely perfect!
In much the same way, when it comes to life, there will be things in life which are not perfect (in the way society tells us they should be). For example, perhaps it might be the way we view ourselves. Something about the way we are, we don’t feel like we are perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be the way we parent. We don’t feel perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be the way we feel like everyone expects our kids to be. Our kids aren’t perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be our abilities. We aren’t perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be our house. It’s not perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be our car. It’s not perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be our role at work. It’s not perfect enough.
Perhaps it might be our expectations of life. It’s not perfect enough.
The thing is, it doesn’t have to be perfect … to be absolutely perfect!
God made you … which means, he made you perfectly the way he wanted you to be! Whatever way you are … whatever supposed imperfections you view yourself as having … you are absolutely perfect!
Those kids God blessed each of us with … they might not always obey or do the right thing … and they might get on our very last nerve … but God gave them to us, so they are absolutely perfect just the way God made them.
This life God has given each of us … it might not be perfect … but it’s absolutely perfect because this is the life He gave us.
God blesses each of our days with beautiful blessings … and they won’t all be perfect. They might be like my “imperfect” birdbath, perfectly reflecting the calm of the forest.
Or our “imperfect” abilities … perfectly accomplishing what God has planned for us!
Or the “imperfect” gift given to us by our child … perfectly reflecting their love for us!
Or our “imperfect” relationships we have with each other … perfectly reflecting the beauty of true friendship!
Our lives are full of imperfect blessings … which are absolutely perfect!
