Someone special is having a birthday. We are all going to go watch the new Mario movie to celebrate! Just for kicks, hubby and I got Mario wrapping paper for our gift. Funness!
I loved that the gift is covered in question marks.

It makes me think of something my pastor said which has always stuck with me: “God’s good gifts for us don’t always come wrapped in our preferences.”
God has good gifts for us!
God loves us and God’s gifts for us are always good.
But sometimes God’s good gifts for us come “wrapped” in question marks. We don’t know what God’s good gift for us is. Right now all we can see is “question marks.”
We have to trust.
We have to trust that God is good … even in spite of the “question marks.” We have to trust that God has something good to give us … even in spite of the “question marks.” We have to trust enough to accept and receive this “question-mark-wrapped” gift from God.
We have to trust enough to “unwrap” the gift. Sometimes it takes time to unwrap the “question-mark-wrapped” gift. It takes time to work through the “question marks” … to eventually reveal what the “question marks” were hiding.
God is good. God loves us. And God has good gifts for us!
But God’s good gifts for us don’t always come “wrapped” in our preferences.
