I am blessed by having my sins forgiven and taken away.

I am blessed by having my sins forgiven and taken away.

The title of this blog is – “Daily Blessing.”      Naturally we all think, “I would like to be blessed.   How can I be blessed?”

The Bible has a lot to say about how we can be blessed.

Blessed is the person whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.”   – Psalm 32:1

John 3:36 tells us that: “Whoever believes in the Son [Jesus Christ] has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son [Jesus Christ] will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”

God’s wrath & curse is on all who do not believe in Jesus Christ.

But why??

God is perfect. God is absolutely perfect and holy.

Humanity, on the other hand is not perfect. Humanity is flawed and corrupted by sin. Romans 3:23 tells us that: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Every single person is a sinner by nature and by choice.

All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” – Romans 3:12

Sin cannot be in God’s presence, because God is perfect and holy. Sin must be destroyed. “The wages of sin is death.” – Romans 6:23

But God is so kind and loving that he provided a way for us to be saved from our sin. God provided a way for us to be rescued from the punishment of sin that we deserve.

God demonstrated his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Jesus Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8

Jesus took the penalty that we deserve. Jesus took the death that we deserve because of our sin.

God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son [Jesus Christ] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16

The gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 6:23

It is a huge blessing to have the penalty of our sin taken away!

It is a huge blessing for Jesus to take away our sin and give us his righteousness instead.

It is a huge blessing to have the curse of sin removed from our life. It is a huge blessing to have the wrath of God removed from our life since we are now forgiven and made clean by Jesus.

In both Psalm 32:1 and in Romans 4:7-8 we read:

Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the person whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” – Romans 4:7-8

If you are wondering how you can be blessed, this right here is the biggest blessing of all – of having your sins forgiven and taken away, and receiving the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Thank you God for providing a way for us to receive forgiveness and salvation from our sin!

Thank you God for this incredible blessing!
