Hubby’s work buddy recently went on a fishing trip up to Alaska. In preparation for his trip, he cleaned out his freezer of the remaining leftover fish from last year’s Alaskan fishing trip … so that there would be plenty of room for the haul he would be bringing back this year. As a result, he gave a big grocery shopping bag full of vacuum-packed salmon & halibut to hubby and me! Now that right there is a daily blessing for sure!
This same friend really likes blackberries. Ther are tons of blackberries growing wild in the neighborhood where hubby and I live. So every year hubby and I pick a couple of big containers of blackberries to take over to our friend. He loves to make blackberry syrup for pancakes with the berries.
Yesterday evening hubby and I picked blackberries and took them over to our friend.
He texted us as we were driving back home that he had already made blackberry lemonade. Yum!
The joy of picking blackberries for our friend … that for sure is a daily blessing. (though I think hubby and I got the better end of the deal – Haha!)
The blessing of friendship … that by far is the best daily blessing ever!
